All work is scheduled between the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm unless otherwise noted.

Soquel Drive and Owen's Lane, beginning February 20: Water Distribution crews will replace the water main, and plastic and galvanized service lines. There will be short periods of time when street parking will be used for placement of equipment and materials. There will also be some temporary service interruptions when the new service lines are connected to existing water mains. The project is expected to take 6 weeks.

Cedar Street Water Main Replacement, beginning June: The Water Department has hired a contractor to install approximately 3,190 linear feet of 6-inch pipe; four fire hydrants; five 4-inch fire services; 8 existing water service reconnections; and 48 water service renewals. Construction activities will occur on Cedar Street between Laurel Street and Lincoln Street, and on Maple Street, Elm Street, Cathcart Street, and Lincoln Street between Center Street and Pacific Avenue.

Project update, December 16, 2016: The project is now complete.

We would like to thank the entire neighborhood for your espirit-de-corps during times of loud machinery, traffic impacts, and consistent construction while we upgraded your water system. We know that having a multi-month construction project in your neighborhood can be trying and we sincerely appreciate your patience!

Tait Wells Replacement and Rehabilitation Project, beginning April: Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. completed construction of a new well motor control center, two new replacement well pump stations, and site improvements in January 2017 near 200 Crossing Strteet. This project expands the availability and reliability of source water, water treatment opterational flexibility, and water quality. Tait Wells played a crucial role as a reliable high quality water source during the recent winter storms in January and February 2017.

 To see a map of the project, click here. As of July, Tait well 4 has been rehabilitated and Tait wells 1 and 3 have been drilled. Crews will construct two new pump stations for the replacement wells including minor road improvements on Crossing Street.
