GIS Web Applications
The Information Technology Department maintains two public GIS site for citizens to access parcel information such as boundaries, high resolution aerial photography, zoning, general plan designations, creek plan data, Census 2010 Data, Storm and Sewer Infrastructure, and FEMA flood designations. Parcel characteristics data can be exported and imagery can be export or printed. Tools for measuring and marking up the map are available. The site also links by location to other data source such as Google Street View, Bing's Birds Eye, and earthmine panaroma imagery.
The sites were built using Adobe Flex Technology and requires Adobe Flash Player which 98% of computers have installed already. To access all features of the site you will need to have Adobe Flash Player version 10 or above.
For the sites functions to work correctly please turn off your pop up blockers. For Planning related data select SCUSI. For Public Works Infrastructure data select infrastructure.
The Gallery Site links to public maps and applications. In many instances these links will direct you to Arcgis Online. This is a hosted services that provides access in a web application to individual and logically grouped datasets that the City maintains. Check back often to see updates.
GIS for Mobile Devices
Many of the City's GIS layers and maps can be accessed using a tablet or smart phone. ESRI maintains a free application that allows this access. Select the app store below that matches your device to download the app.
Once the app is loaded on your device, open the app, and search for group COSC Public. Feel free to contact me below with suggestions of data layers and maps you would like to see.
