Project Description:
The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center opened in July, 2012, and serves as a marine education center and contact point to introduce Center visitors to the Sanctuary and to the various aspects of marine activity and conservation. The current exhibits include a mix of two-and-three dimensional objects, including kinesthetic activities, flat screens with interpretation, models, walk-through of a tide pool and kelp forest, high definition film in theater and electronic interactive video kiosks. We are seeking new exhibitry to fill certain gaps in the current exhibits, as well as design services to evaluate and suggest improvements to existing exhibits. The consultant will be responsible for design, fabrication, and installation of a limited number of new exhibits.
