Citywide Strategies to Adapt to Climate Change
Local Hazard Mitigation + Climate Adaptation Plan Update
The City of Santa Cruz's Local Hazard Mitigation + Climate Adaptation Plan is a comprehensive strategy designed to reduce the city's vulnerability to natural hazards and the impacts of climate change.
This plan identifies potential risks, such as wildfires, flooding, and sea-level rise, and outlines targeted actions to mitigate these threats while enhancing community resilience. We're currently updating this plan for 2025-2030.
Climate Action Plan 2030
The City of Santa Cruz's Climate Action Plan 2030 outlines a comprehensive roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance climate resilience, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
This plan includes strategies to transition to renewable energy, improve energy efficiency, promote sustainable transportation, and protect natural resources.
