Everyone is invited to preview the Vive Oaxaca Guelaguetza cultural festival, which takes place on May 21, 2017 at Harbor High School, by coming to the free Calenda and Street Fiesta in Downtown Santa Cruz.  

Beginning at 4:00 p.m., a procession of musicians, dancers, and large puppets will parade from Branciforte Small Schools (840 N. Branciforte), down Water Street and Pacific Avenue sidewalks, ending at Cooper Street, which will be closed for a Street Fiesta from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Oaxacan food will be on sale to benefit Senderos, a nonprofit which provides free after school dance and music classes and educational support for Latino youth.
