Volunteers are needed to help clean Sycamore Grove!
Sycamore Grove is a special place. It's a beautiful riparian area along the San Lorenzo River, which is critical habitat for threatened steelhead salmon, and is home to many birds and mammals. The San Lorenzo is also the primary source of drinking water for Santa Cruz residents. Sycamore Grove has been closed to the public for over a decade and needs some help from the community to be restored to its full ecological potential!
WHAT: Please join Water and Parks and Recreation Departments staff for a clean-up at Sycamore Grove on Saturday, March 31, from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Volunteers will be provided with gloves, trash bags and grab sticks. Light snacks and water will be provided.
WHEN: Saturday, March 31 from 9:00am - noon.
WHERE: Meet at the Sycamore Grove pullout on Highway 9 across from Pogonip, just past Golf Club Drive.
RSVP: Sign up on the County's volunteer website at https://www.scvolunteernow.org/opportunity/a0C0G00000WrPXYUA3 or to arichman@cityofsantacruz.com
