Recycling Center Tour

The City of Santa Cruz is offering free public tours of the Recycling Center

    Santa Cruz, California 95060
  • Introduction: Visitors will see what happens to the 30+ tons of material that Santa Cruzans place into their blue recycle bins each day. They will learn why is important to avoid “Wish-Cycling” and recycle right!

Visitors will see a mountain of scrap metal and learn about the facility’s Household Hazardous Waste Program.

Groups are limited to 20 people. Children must be at least 8 years old. Youth 8-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited. To make a reservation, email Waste Reduction staff at lomalley@cityofsantacruz.com or call 420-5593
