No Place Like Home
This event will share findings from a new study on the housing issues faced by those that work for and serve the Santa Cruz community and launch our expanded website including new housing policy tools and analyses. It will also be an opportunity to engage in a community-wide conversation on solutions to our local housing crisis. The event will feature a panel discussion on such solutions, including renter protections (rent control and just cause eviction) and the preservation and production of more affordable housing. Speakers will include a local tenant, a landlord, a housing policy expert, and an affordable housing developer. A wide range of community groups working on issues such as affordable and alternative housing, tenant rights and protection, emergency rental assistance, homelessness, voter registration, and housing justice will be on hand with information about services and how you can get involved building local housing solutions for all.
