UCSC Slug Cycling/Amgen Family Bike Ride

Family-friendly bike ride for all. Bring your cruiser, mountain bike, road bike, stingray, fixie, or townie. Enjoy getting to know the UC Santa Cruz campus and ride a section of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California Santa Cruz Stage 3 route.

The bike ride will be about 5 miles starting at the East Field going up and around McLaughlin Drive down Heller Drive down Empire Grade back to the UCSC main entrance at Bay and High Streets then back up to the East Field via Hagar Drive. Ambitious riders are invited to ride up Empire Grade to Bonny Doon to experience even more of the Amgen course.

Riders are invited to join in the UCSC Day by the Bay Celebration following the ride.

Ride start: 9:30 a.m. East Field
Who's invited? EVERYONE
Directions: Follow signs from the UCSC main entrance at Bay and High
Streets for the UCSC Day by the Bay.
There will also be a booth with Tour of California information and merchandise at the festival.
