The mission of the ride is to raise money for The Arthritis Foundation. Arthritis affects one in four adults and 300,000 children in the United States. It’s America’s #1 cause of disability.

The Arthritis Foundation’s mission is to pursue a cure and provide life-changing resources, science, advocacy and community connections.

Participants who take part raise vital funds in the fight against arthritis. The dedication and amounts raised by individual participants are truly astounding. All participants of CCC commit to raising at least $3,500 dollars each.

One of the reasons the California Coast Classic is so successful is the social, community and training aspects that it provides to participants building up to the ride, a challenge that is open to beginner, intermediate, and advanced cyclists.

The community fully encourages cyclists to take up the challenge of riding for a full week, some who may have limited riding experience.

From the start, each participant becomes part of the community and gains access to training and fundraising tools including a training calendar, personal fundraising website, and group training rides. There is a real sense of camaraderie and coming together, to lead the fight for the arthritis community.

The organization and support for participants throughout the eight days of the tour is world-class, and includes expert SAG support, professional mechanical repair, luggage service, catered meals, and a nightly choice of campground or hotel lodging. Riders have the luxury of concentrating on their riding, working together, and making memories that last a lifetime.
