2021 Santa Cruz County Black Grad Celebration

The Santa Cruz County Office of Education is proud to coordinate
the 22nd annual Santa Cruz County Black Grad Celebration in celebration of our Black graduating high
school students. The ceremony will take place Friday, June 18th, at 6 pm.
The event will include speakers and performances. Mbor Faye and friends will be drumming, student
dancers: Catherine Easter, Naia Neal, TahJiana Lundy, student singer: Naima Easter and a student
fashion show put on by I.B. Bayo. Renowned artist, and long-time Santa Cruz resident Tammi Brown, is
a featured singer. The event is designed to adhere to guidance by the California Department of Public
Health to minimize risks of contracting COVID-19 to students, families, guests, and staff.
Black Grad Celebration is open to all graduating high school black graduates. Students interested in
