The Core Scholastic Surf League (CSSL) presents their surf contest for middle and high school students at Steamer Lane.

The Core is a non-profit youth organization that has been in the public eye of Santa Cruz since 2002. Our reason for being is to facilitate an endless amount of positive experiences for the youth of Santa Cruz ranging from concerts to professional speakers to classes, mentorships to surf contests, and dances. But no matter what the experience is, it is created by kids and for kids (well, mostly young adults because they are in high school).
