The Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women invites our community to join us in our annual "Take Back Our Streets" event. This has been scheduled for the past 3 years on the night of a full moon to add our light to nature's radiance.

By walking with our candles/flashlights through various public areas,

we bring our light to dispel the darkness of violence.

By coming together for a silent walk on sidewalks, levees, and other public areas, we show our willingness to

work together to stop violence in our community.

We will meet at the City Hall Courtyard at

809 Center Street at 6:30 pm

We will together travel a route on sidewalks, pathways, & levee areas to bring our light to these areas.  

Bring a candle or flashlight, a friend, and dress warmly.
