The Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women (CPVAW) and Women's Crisis Support-Defensa de Mujeres presents the annual fundraising event "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes." Participants gather at Lighthouse Point Lawn area by the surf museum, slip on their high heels or other shoes, and walk one mile on the West Cliff pathway.

This activity is scheduled in April in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
