This seminar is the evolution of past Stan Walerczyk workshops, such as “LED vs Everything Else” and “becoming an LED World, But…”. This updated workshop will provide the optimal solutions for various applications, including schools, instead of just comparing LED with other high performance incumbent technologies.
The morning will start off with cost effective lighting retrofit tools for Title 24, including potential improvements for the existing and upcoming 2016 Title 24 versions.
Interior applications, including decorative, omni-directional and reflector lamps, store refrigerator lighting, recessed cans, task lighting, fixtures with linear fluorescent lamps, and hi-bays will be discussed. What may be most important is the best way to retrofit fluorescent troffers and other fixtures that have linear fluorescent lamps. Some options include: highest lumen fluorescent T8, extra-long life fluorescent T8, TLEDS, LED Lightbars, and LED Troffer kits.
The afternoon will address garage and numerous exterior applications. Controls for both interior and exterior applications will be briefly discussed. Since LED wattages are so low, controls are often not cost effective to save energy, but they can provide significant other benefits.
