The City of Santa Cruz will unveil an Eastside Library memorial plaque where one of the City’s earliest public libraries once stood at the intersection of Poplar and Soquel avenues, Water Street and Morrissey Boulevard on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will also acknowledge the renaming of the location, formerly known as East Side Triangle Park, as El Portal Park. The public is invited to join City officials and local residents who helped to bring about the Eastside Library memorial. More information.
