Ebb & Flow Gathering & Art Display

  • Date: 06/18/2016 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • Location: Water St Bridge and San Lorenzo Riverwalk Levee
    Santa Cruz, California 95060

The Ebb & Flow River Arts Project celebrates and enlivens the San Lorenzo River and the Tannery Arts Center through activities that unite arts and river enthusiasts, and connect the greater community. Through Ebb & Flow, together with artists, activists, neighbors, and strangers we’ve built relationships and energized the use of the river and the Tannery campus.

Join us for Ebb & Flow on June 18th! This year’s Ebb & Flow public art project is being designed and led by local artist Heidi Cramer, who is creating her piece as part of her summer residency in the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History’s Art Works program.

“This will be a collaborative sculpture which aims specifically at the landscape, local flora and fauna, and the history of the river,” says Cramer. “This temporary sculptural event will bring the community together and be an opportunity to engage visitors young and old to create a work of art about the river environment, within the river environment.”

Community members are invited to join Heidi at the MAH throughout June to learn about her work and help create the Ebb & Flow art piece. She will be there Monday through Thursday 12-4 PM, and Fridays from 5-9 PM.

June 18th will be a full day of river revelry and celebration!
