A brief history of this incredible yearly event: Organizations and businesses recruit walkers/runners/pledge-gatherers to raise funds. Funds can be raised for any nonprofit organization, school or church. The run and walk is open to all. The Human Race is a proven fundraiser that has been successful for Santa Cruz County nonprofits for 36 years and continues to grow. The Volunteer Center provides marketing, publicity, materials, and experienced assistance. Nonprofits and businesses provide the people power. 

The 5 mile course goes from 2300 Delaware Ave. to Swanton Road and down to West Cliff Drive. The beautiful walk goes along West Cliff Drive to the Light House Park and ends back to 2300 Delaware where a BBQ lunch awaits you. The Walkathon begins at 8am and takes place rain or shine!
