This yearly event is sponsored by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Activity League.   

The SC SSL serves middle and high school surfers from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay with quality surf contests that feature both a team and individual contest format. There are competitive divisions for boy's short board and longboard, girl's short board and longboard, and coed body board. A series of 5 events are scheduled during the course of the season culminating in school team and individual champions.  Surfer's who homeschool or attend a school without a surf team may compete on the school team closest to their school district. The SC SSL is committed to providing a fun surfing experience while developing the fundamentals and skills of surfing competition.
