Greek Festival 2017

The Santa Cruz Greek Festival is one of the most eagerly anticipated community events — come and enjoy this showcase of authentic Greek food, pastries, spirits, live Greek music by The Spartan Band, folk dancing and more! Voted BEST STREET FESTIVAL in Santa Cruz County, the Santa Cruz Greek Festival is the longest running festival in Santa Cruz County, growing from a small celebration in the church courtyard to a huge block party. The festival is located at 223 Church Street, between Church and Center Streets, downtown Santa Cruz.

Just follow your nose — you’ll have no trouble finding the festival! The air is filled with the tantalizing aroma of barbeque and meats roasting over an open fire. You’ll find our usual crowd-pleasers like our famous moussaka, souvlaki, roasted lamb shanks, gyro, calamari, pastitsio and many other savory dishes including a wide variety of vegetarian selections. Shop at our Greek agora, which features ethnic jewelry, pottery, clothing and food items. Greek dancers from all over the Bay Area will be dressed in traditional costumes and performing a variety of folk dances that have been handed down for hundreds of years.

Be sure to visit our popular Mount Olympus climbing wall with the kids — it’s something that the entire family can enjoy. Free admission!
