At the request of the Arts Commission, the City Council allocated funds in the Fiscal Year 2007 budget to create the first-ever City Arts Master Plan, an endeavor that brought together the many artists and arts groups with other stakeholders to create a set of goals, policies and action plans to help our community reach its full potential as a dynamic and economically thriving arts community and to recognize and successfully utilize local arts as a tool for economic development.

The Arts Master Plan was approved by City Council at its November 2008 meeting.
