Annual Compliance Monitoring
The beauty, peacefulness, and safety of our neighborhoods make Santa Cruz one of the most desirable places to live in the country. Annual Compliance Monitoring (ACM) plays an important role in maintaining the existing diverse housing stock within our community. The ACM helps to ensure that the community has access to affordable housing throughout the City.
The ACM is now digital. Please see the below property types and timelines for annual monitoring. If you prefer to receive paper monitoring please email acmonitoring@santacruzca.gov.
Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
2024 Affordable ADU Certification forms are available as of October 1, 2024. Please return the completed form to acmonitoring@santacruzca.gov by October 22, 2024.

Owner Occupied- The Owner Occupied ADU compliance monitoring is currently on hold, and we will update you when anything changes.

First Time Homebuyer (FTH)
2024 FTH Monitoring forms are available as of February 1, 2024.
Please return completed forms to acmonitoring@santacruzca.gov by February 15, 2024.

Measure O-Rentals
Monitoring forms are now available as of March 1, 2024. The 2024 Annual Compliance Reports are being requested with a response date of March 22, 2024. Please check your email for the monitoring request letter - if you did not receive an email, please contact us at acmonitoring@santacruzca.gov to update your contact information. When you have completed your Annual Compliance Report(s), please return the completed reports to us at acmonitoring@santacruzca.gov or by using the drop box at our main office (337 Locust Street).
