Laurel Park is a great open space adjacent to the Community Center.  Outdoor festivities such as concerts, fairs and birthdays are wonderful activities to enjoy on the reservable lawn.  Other amenities include full-court basketball, children's play area, chess table, table tennis, and accessible parking.

On November 28, 2017, Santa Cruz City Council approved a move to install a 6-foot-tall wrought-iron fence around Laurel Park and the installed the fence in March of 2018.
