The Ocean Street Area Plan is the result of an extensive planning process to revitalize the Ocean Street corridor and create a vibrant gateway to Santa Cruz that reflects the city’s unique character. The Area Plan describes and illustrates a communitydriven 20-year vision for the area, through the year 2030, and provides a framework for creating a more welcoming environment along the corridor. It also includes additional policy guidance and implementation steps for the City, along with design standards and guidelines that will ensure the high quality of new buildings on Ocean Street.
