The annual Santa Cruz Recycles! and Keep Santa Cruz Clean & Litter Free! poster contests effectively highlight the importance of recycling and litter prevention in in the City of Santa Cruz. The contest gives all local students in grades K-12 a chance to creatively promote drink bottle and aluminum can recycling and litter prevention in their community. 

The colorful winning artwork helps to reinforce the City's litter prevention and recycling messages on big-belly trash bins downtown and on recycling and refuse trucks as they wind their way through City of Santa Cruz neighborhoods.

Submissions for 2024 are due on May 17th, 2024 with details noted on the entry form below.
