Fiscal Year 2017-2018 (General Permit Year 5)
The City is currently covered under the State General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Small Municipal Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s). The General Permit requires the City to develop and implement a comprehensive Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) to reduce the amount of pollutants discharged in urban runoff, and to improve and protect water quality. In February 2013, the State adopted a new General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Small Municipal Storm Sewer Systems. The new General Permit became effective July 1, 2013. The General Permit required a Guidance Document in lieu of the City's previous Storm Water Management Plan.
The Storm Water Annual Report provides an in depth summary of the City Storm Water Best Management Practices implementation. The City is required to submit a Storm Water Annual Report to the State Water Board by October 15th each year. The full report is also available on the State's permit database at http://smarts.waterboards.ca.gov/.
