Receive up to $200 when you replace your old toilet with an Ultra-High Efficiency Toilet!

(1.0 gallon per flush or less)

How To Apply:

1. Read all requirements and details of the City of Santa Cruz Toilet Rebate application.
2. Purchase and install an Ultra-High Efficiency Toilet (UHET) (1.0 gallon per flush or less)
3. Fill out and sign the rebate application.
4. Attach the itemized original receipt or itemized plumber's invoice for the toilets.
5. Submit your rebate application to: City of Santa Cruz Customer Assistance Office, 212 Locust St. Suite B, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 by December 31, 2023.
6. Allow for 4-6 weeks to receive a rebate check in the mail.

• The rebate is for Ultra-High Efficiency Toilets (UHETs). These are toilets that have a maximum flush volume of 1.0 gallon per flush. 
• Toilets with a rating above 1.0 gallon per flush (i.e 1.28 gallons per flush) are not eligible for the rebate. 
• Dual flush toilets are not eligible for the rebate
• Compare models with the Maximum Performance of Toilet Fixtures. The higher the rating, the better the flushing performance.

How to Dispose of your Old Toilet: 

• City Residents- Recycle your old toilets (without seat or hardware) for free at the City Recycling Center at Dimeo Lane. Toilets will not be picked up curbside.

• County Residents- Recycle your old toilets at the Buena Vista Landfill for a small fee.
