Overview

The Santa Cruz Water Department is rehabilitating two of our drinking water wells.

• Beltz 10 is located at 977 34th Ave., Santa Cruz, CA 95062
• Tait Wellfield is located at 200 Crossing St., Santa Cruz, CA 95060

This routine maintenance will enhance each well's functionality by restoring lost pumping capacity due to natural clogging of well screens over time. By improving the wells, we will continue to provide a safe, reliable water supply for our community. We’re committed to maintaining and improving our water system for years to come.

Potential Impacts

We are committed to minimizing traffic and parking inconveniences in the neighborhood. However, neighbors should anticipate the following:       

• Expect more vehicles and personnel during work hours.
• Construction activities may result in higher noise levels and dust.
• There may be occasional traffic interruptions as construction vehicles enter and exit the site.
• Water service will not be interrupted during this project.
