What is My City of Santa Cruz payment portal?
MyCityofSantaCruz is a simple and secure online bill pay (OBP) portal for City of Santa Cruz services, including Santa Cruz Municipal Utility bills. Make payments quickly and conveniently from your computer or mobile device. As the City adds more online services, MyCityofSantaCruz will be your one spot to manage accounts, pay bills, and more.
Why are you transitioning to a new online bill pay portal?
The City of Santa Cruz wanted to create an all-in-one payment portal to make bill payment easy and convenient for customers and citizens. Previously, the City supported separate online bill pay portals for each of its services. MyCityofSantaCruz integrates all of these City services and payments into one easy place to do business. Additionally, MyCityofSantaCruz also expands the range of payment options available to customers. The previous online bill pay portals only accepted debit/credit card payments. MyCityofSantaCruz adds e-checking and online ACH to the list.
Will there be extra fees?
There will be no extra costs associated with using the MyCityofSantaCruz portal.
When will the transition take place?
The transition for existing online bill pay customers will begin in October, beginning with an invite to MyCityofSantaCruz. If you are an existing OBP customer, read on for important details:
- All OBP customers - your profile preferences will be moved into MyCityofSantaCruz through a fully compliant and secure process to protect customer and financial data.
- Existing OBP customers enrolled in autopay – if this is you, please note: the October bill (November due date) will be the last bill to draft from onlinebiller.com/santacruz. Beginning with the November bill (December due date), your autopay will draft from MyCityofSantaCruz. This will happen automatically, as long as your credit card doesn’t expire during the transition. Your next step: wait to receive the email invite to MyCityofSantaCruz after your October bill.
- Existing OBP customers not enrolled in autopay – if this is you, please note: you may use onlinebiller.com/santacruz until the end of October or you can login with MyCityofSantaCruz after the October bill—just please avoid paying the October bill twice by accidentally using both sites. Starting in November, you will be redirected to MyCityofSantaCruz to pay your bill online. Your next step: wait to receive the email invite to MyCityofSantaCruz after your October bill.
If I register on onlinebiller.com/santacruz now, do I have to re-enter my information on MyCityofSantaCruz later?
You can create an online bill pay profile with onlinebiller.com/santacruz between now and 9/30. On 10/1, all existing profiles will be moved to MyCityofSantaCruz, and existing profiles will receive an invite to MyCityofSantaCruz following their October bill. Existing profiles will not have to re-enter their profile information, but they will have to register with MyCityofSantaCruz and create a new password to get into their profile.
