Project Description

Non-Residential Demolition Authorization Permit, Lot Line Adjustment, Special Use Permit, Coastal Permit, Design Permit, and Historic Alteration Permit to reconfigure five lots into two, demolish two existing school buildings (approx. 28,417 square feet) and construct a 76 unit (including 15 full dwelling units) senior housing facility on a site listed on the historic building survey (Vol. 1, p. 39) in the R-1-5/WCD-O/CZ-O/SP-O (Single family residence/West Cliff Drive Overlay/Coastal Zone Overlay/Shoreline Protection Overlay) zone district. This project includes the removal of six Heritage trees.

Approval Process 

This project will require public hearings at the Historic Preservation Commission and the Planning Commission.

  • Introduction: Join the applicant May 27, 2020 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM for a second virtual community meeting to discuss 126 Eucalyptus Avenue.

Please Join the Applicant for a second Community Meeting to discuss 126 Eucalyptus Avenue. This is a follow-up to the first community meeting to review revisions to the first meeting. The project consists of a Pre-application for a nonresidential Demolition Authorization Permit, Special Use Permit, Coastal Permit, Design Permit and Historic Alternation Permit to construct a senior housing development comprised of a two-story structure and one three story wing consisting of 88 units of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, and 4 inclusionary Living Units. Located on approximately 3 acres of the Oblates of St Joseph campus located in the R-1-5/CZ-O/WCD-O (Single family residence/Coastal Zone Overlay/West Cliff Drive Overlay) zone district.
